Question Large Rolling Travel Bag

In the summer of 2019 I attended the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo and noticed several women who had a large rolling scrapbook bag. The top telescoped up and it came in several different patterns. For the life of me I can't remember who made it.

Anyone know what I am talking about?

Well, its been a long time since I have been to a convention. (and I think the bags I have and have had in the past are all no longer made but,) its possible you could find something
this was what came up at Scrapbook.com ( there are probably others) What Amazon comes up with doing a search of "rolling tote"

click the purple words to see it, and hopefully that works. ( the formatting has been slightly wonky lately)

I got really frustrated looking for suitable cases that would transport my stuff when crafting away from home. This thing fits EVERYTHING. And if I don't want to take quite as much I can remove the middle section. When it's very full, it's quite heavy but not so much that I couldn't lift it. So, if you don't find something close to what you are looking for then consider this
Cosmetic/Craft Case

Thank you for your responses. I found what it was...Debbee Flip N' Pack and it doesn't look like it is made anymore. I am going to look into the 2 suggestions you guys gave me.

While the fabulous Debbee Flip n' Pack is no longer available, Crafter Companion makes something called the portable craftroom
I think it has shelves too.

Also check JoAnn's (I found a great one there years ago, not a big brand name but very heavy-duty) and HSN. When you get something, show us!

You could also try eBay or another resell site if you don't mind a used one!

I found a link to a bag that looks identical but I'm unable to post the link. Look up Flip 'N Pack Expanding Rolling Storage on the FlipFold.com website.

Default Crafter's Companion

I don't know if this is the one your looking for. I have one and it's XL. It's got so many compartments and it's on 360 wheels. It's not one I would take to a crop unless you had someone to lift it for you. It has the capacity to get in a lot of stuff in it making it heavy to lift. The zippered front can be opened to draped or attach to the pull up handle. It's sturdy enough to house a Gemini or Gemini Jr and the foilpress on bottom of cart. Hope this helps.

I no longer use my CIS Navigator or CIS XXL for crops. They are too heavy to lift into my car. I use smaller tote/shoulder bags. My old XXL works under my table to store CS in.

Question

QueenPam,
If you have the shelves full of stuff can it close and zip?
Thanks,

Default What about this Tool Chest?

I am now looking at something like this. Anyone else using one like this? I like that it can be taken apart into 3 pieces so it isn't so heavy for me to lift into my car. I also like that everything I take to a crop can stay in it at the crop and still be at my fingertips. Anything you can think of as a drawback?

that probably depends on you, what I found when I did such things was, I could pack everything. and pre-plan say layout pages for scrapbooks or what not and have all the tools I thought I would need.

and I never used them,

ever

I when I am with people I end up either explaining how to do something or chatting.
So, now I have a tiny little zipper pouch that holds a black sharpie marker, a stardust gelly roll pen, a white gel pen, 4 copic markers ( skin tones) and a Prisma colorless blender pen ( melts pigments of pencils) a pencil sharpener and a pair of cutter bee scissors.
and then I have a handful of images to color. (this same thing goes on airplanes without the scissors (checked bag) and a pack of tiny fine liner pens. ( they are the short ones) on a carry on bag I also have a 6" x 9 " clipboard for coloring on while on a plane.

and if I partially color an image its a win.

So, if you really will use all those tools and such while gone a bag that divides into pieces sounds like a smart thing for lifting and hauling.

I would just add one thing: when shopping for any kind of rolling storage cart, be sure you have straps on the sides to help you lift it into the car, etc. I got one that was really cute and held a lot, but there was no way to lift it. I ended up giving it away. Now when I go out, I use three bags: 1) an open top carry-all (there are lots of these but I prefer mine, 2) this Karen Foster bag (don't know if they still make this, but it is AMAZING how much it holds), and 3) if I need it, another open top bag. There are lots of good choices out there, some practical and some not.
This is the Karen Foster one, but it doesn't show all the compartments, etc.

This is my vital grab bag. Holds a lot, too.

This is giving me PTSD from the late 1900s - when we used to do SU workshops we all had beastly huge totes like this for some reason - it was just a fad and it was awful hahah.

Default Finally made the decision and purchased

So after even more research I finally made a decision. I realize that this is not perfect for most people but for me it is exactly what I wanted. It checks off all of the boxes of what I was looking for to transport what I need for a multi-day crop and to be able to leave most of it in the unit. It comes apart into 3 pieces. I will need to unpack the bottom section as it is not readily accessed when the top 2 sections are in place. But the drawers and the top section can stay packed for those times when a large table is not provided at the facility.
